BJP UT Chief Ravinder Raina Tests Covid-19 Positive
BJP J&K President Ravinder Rania on Monday tested positive for the deadly novel corona virus, causing ripples in party cadres.
According to reports reached to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Raina who was feeling unwell from last couple of days tested Covid-19 positive after his swab sample turned out to be infected.
Sources said that Raina’s nasopharyngeal sample was collected earlier and today it turned out positive.
Raina in his tweet in Hindu script mentioned “I was staying in Bandipora Kashmir for five days where our party leaders including Wasim Bari, his father and younger brother Umar Sultan were killed by militants; I felt some mild fever today and my swab sample turned out to be Covid-19 positive”.
Notably Raina along with BJP senior leaders including Ram Madhav, MOS in PMO Dr Jitender Singh, party’s national vice president Avinash Rai Khanna visited Bandipora few days back to pay homage to Bari and his family members who were killed on July 08 outside his residence.
Source said Raina during his visit to Kashmir, conducted several party meetings and were in contact with hundreds of party cadres. (KNS)
