Toddler among nine family members test positive for COVID-19 in Karnah toll reach 44

Nine members of a family, including a eighteen-month-old infant and two minor children, tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday taking the total number of active cases in border town Karnah to 44.
According to health official earlier a family member of the same familiy tested positive for COVID-19 who has a history of contact with a positive case he said their swab samples were sent for test the report came and nine of the family member tested positive the official said nine of a family member among 16 other tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday its the highist spike in a a single day in border town Karnah taking the total active positive cases to 44.
Meanwhile in wake of the surge in COVID-19 positive cases over the past few days in the area the administration has imposed strict restriction on the public and private transport as per order issued by Sub divisional magistrate (SDM) Karnah all the essential and non essential shops, mini secretariat and all bank branches will remain closed for a period of four days from today.
The sub divisional magistrate reiterated its appeal to people to follow the standard operating procedures (SOP) and guidelines related to COVID-19 he said by taking precautionary measure, we can succeed in overcoming the challenge posed by the outbreak.(KNS)
