Teenage girl dies by suicide in Srinagar
A teenage girl hanged herself to death in her home at Natipora area of Srinagar late on Tuesday evening, reported a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
Unnamed officials told the agency that an 18-year-old girl, whose name has been withheld, hanged herself to death at her home in Azad Basti, Natipora Srinagar yesterday evening. “After spotted hanging from a ceiling, her family members rushed to SMHS hospital where doctors declared her as dead on arrival,” officials said.
Doctors at the Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) hospital told KNO that the girl was brought dead to the hospital. Meanwhile, the police have taken cognizance of the incident and started investigations in the incident under a case has been registered at Police station Natipora. (KNO)
