Div Com reviews progress on demarcation of JDA land, issues of BRO

JAMMU, AUGUST 28: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, today reviewed the progress on demarcation of JDA land in Jammu and Samba districts, here at a meeting with concerned officers.

The meeting was attended by Officers of Jammu Development Authority, district administration Jammu, Samba and other concerned officers.

The concerned officers apprised the Div Com about the progress achieved so far and the total land retrieved in the twin districts from the encroachers.

The Divisional Commissioner directed district administrations of Jammu and Samba to demarcate JDA, government land in their area jurisdiction and fence the already demarcated land to prevent   encroachment.

Later, the Divisional Commissioner reviewed the progress on land acquisition cases of Border Road Organization/ Sampark in  a  video conference meeting.

The video conference was attended by Deputy Commissioners of Poonch and Rajouri besides engineers of Sampark/BRO.

The Sampark engineers apprised the Div Com of pending land acquisition cases in Poonch and Rajouri districts. Threadbare discussions were held about each case and the DCs informed about the present status of the acquisition process  and   compensation disbursement status.

The Div Com asked the DCs to resolve all the pending land acquisition cases pertaining to BRO in their respective districts for early completion of Sampark projects.
