DLSCC clears Rs 20.25 Lakh compensation in militancy affected cases

The District Level Screening-cum-consultative committee (DLCC) on Monday cleared nine militancy-affected cases and sanctioned a compensation of Rs 20.25 lakhs in favor of the next of victim families.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad. Additional Deputy Commissioner Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Reyaz Ahmad Beigh, District Information Officer Jehangeer Akhoon, Major Siddhant from 13 RR, Major Rohit Nair from 14 RR, Major Gopa Kumar from 27 RR, DySP Ashfaq Alam and other senior officers also attended the meeting.

During the meeting four cases were cleared for compensation of Rs one lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased while three cases were sanctioned for compensation of Rs four lakh each under SRO-177. An amount of Rs 3.50 lakh was also approved for property damage while an amount of Rs 75 thousand was also sanctioned for an injured person.(KNS)
