J&K Awami National Conference (ANC) Monday in a statement to KNS has expressed its deep concern & dismay against the conduct & approach of the police officers concerned not proceeding under mandatory provisions of Law with regard to the FIR lodged on 07/09/2020 in the Ram Munshi Bagh Police station against BJP J&K State President / BJP Central office bearers under section 153(a) IPC for their inflammatory hate speeches & openly calling the participants of the Gupkar Declaration as Anti National , Pro Secessionist & Pro Pakistan. This act on their part falls & attracts criminal liability / punishment of 10 years & a fine.
The ANC further states that that the Police station is under legal duty to enter the FIR in a book U/S 154(1) of the Cr. P. C & copy so-recorded needed to be given forthwith to the informant in terms of SEC 154(2) of the Cr. P. C. The Police station concerned has neither furnished the FIR copy nor taken any further steps mandatory in the instant case.
The Awami National Conference has now delivered/ lodged the same with the Sr. Superintendent of Police in Srinagar through a registered post / Speed post as provided under Law.
The ANC expects appropriate action in the instant case & is determined to take the matter to its logical conclusion & bring to book the culprits & seek their arrest. (KNS)
