Covid-19 Claims 7 More Lives, J&K Toll 1793

Jammu and Kashmir reported seven more covid-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the total death count due to the virus to 1793, officials said.

Four among the victims were from Jammu and three from Kashmir Valley, the officials told GNS.

Those who succumbed to the virus in the Valley include a 75-year-old man from Kupwara besides two persons from Baramulla district—a 60-year-old man from Dangiwachi and a 52-year-old from Hajibal.

Regarding the deaths from Jammu, they said, three persons were from the winter capital of the J&K and one from Rajouri district.

With these deaths, the total fatality count in the Valley has reached 1148 and 645in the Jammu region. Srinagar district with 433 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (327), Baramulla (168), Budgam (105), Pulwama (87), Kupwara (88), Anantnag (82), Doda (58), Bandipora (56), Udhampur (53), Kulgam (52), Rajouri (53), Kathua (45), Ganderbal (40), Shopian (37), Samba (34), Poonch (22), Ramban (21), Kishtwar(20), and Reasi (11).
