The Congress party is facing a crisis and recently the pressure of all those senior leaders who came to Jammu, expressed their sentiments that the party needs to come out from the present conditions in order to fight back against BJP on the ground.

After the lavish praises by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Rajya Sabha on his term ending as the leader of opposition, the suspicion about his proximity with BJP has only grown. All those Congress leaders who want change and transparency within the party see in Ghulam Nabi Azad a leader to rally around.

Ghulam Nabi Azad so far has shown no indication that he is going to lead the “rebellion” against the core group of Congress and Gandhi’s. He participated in the Congress meeting in which JK Congress chief Ghulam Ahmad Mir heaped a lot of praise on the Gandhi’s and their contribution to Congress and Azad listened patiently without showing any reaction.

Kapil Sibal, one of the senior leaders of Congress and former minister openly said on the stage in Jammu that the Congress high command has failed to utilize the services and experience of Azad in the Rajya Sabha by not nominating him again.

He said that Congress will have to come out from the present shadows of uncertainty and lead from the front in order to combat the growing BJP influence on the society.
