After Ganderbal, Budgam police also prevent two youths to join militancy

Close to the heels of Ganderbal police action in which they prevented two youth from joining the militant ranks, Budgam police has said that they have also prevented on Tuesday two youth of their district to join militancy.

Budgam police said that they acted on the specific information that two youths were going to join militancy and they swung into action to arrest them in order to prevent them going astray.

Budgam police further said that both of them were teenagers and have left their homes on 14th March as the missing report came on their radar.

As soon as this information was received, police teams swung into action, and traced both the boys in the Tral area of Awantipora and got them back to Budgam.

Police said that both the teenagers had got influenced on social media and it became their inspiration to join the militant ranks. Police further they were instigated by Pakistan based recruiting handlers through social media handles.

Budgam police said that both the teenager’s were counseled and after the proper counseling they were handed over to their parents so that they can lead a normal life.
