ITI students in Tral test positive, district authorities keeping eye

District authorities of Pulwama are going for aggressive vaccination in many areas especially in Tral and even after their efforts, many students and staff members of an ITI centre in the area tested positive.

Government has already asked all the institutions to adhere to the covid-19 norms and guidelines given by them. There is a growing demand from the civil society in Kashmir that the government should ban all the offline classes in all the educational institutions including at the private coaching centers.

Meanwhile according to the GNS two staffers besides six students of an ITI centre have tested positive for novel Coronavirus on conduct of Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) in Tral in south-Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

A medical official told Global News Service (GNS) that as per guidelines, employees and students of an ITI centre in Tral were tested for the infection through Rapid Antigen Test technique.

“During the course of testing, two staffers alongside six students at the institute were found COVID positive”, the official said adding that “All the infected persons were immediately isolated and removed for treatment.”

Meanwhile, the authorities have suspended all kinds of activities at the institute till further orders.
