Growing covid
There is a growing wave of covid infection in Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir and Srinagar city needs immediate attention of authorities as most of the cases are being reported from this city.
There are hundreds of cases being reported on a daily basis and in the past few days, the numbers have touched over 800 and this is an alarming situation.
The government has so far responded by asking the people to take precautions, wear masks and maintain the prescribed distance from each other in order to avoid this infection.
In the recent past Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar held a series of meetings in order to get feedback about the preparations on the ground level to deal with the growing positive cases of covid-19.
The concerned officials apprised the Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar that about 10409 health workers and 56343 frontline workers have been so far administered covid vaccine in the district besides 18 thousand people above the age of 45 years were also covered under vaccination drive in Srinagar city.
He directed the officers to work with added zeal and continue to maintain the highest level of alertness to ensure implementation of SOPs to counter the spread of virus and asked them to give proper and prompt responses for those patients who are testing positive.
