Corona patient gives birth by C-section

Amid the growing pandemic, doctors and paramedical staff across Jammu and Kashmir are performing duties in an exemplary manner. They are not only the frontline warriors but have been saving the lives of different corona patients with novel methods.

One of such cases has been reported from Poonch hospital where a covid positive woman gives birth to a child by C-section.

According to GNS, reporting about this incident in Poonch, have said that COVID-19 patient gave birth to a baby through C-section at district hospital Poonch on Monday. This was the first delivery case of a coronavirus patient through Caesarean section in the hospital, officials said.

The woman, wife of one Mushtaq Ahmed of Loran, had tested positive for the virus and doctors meticulously carried out the Caesarean section at the district hospital named Raja Sukhdev Singh Hospital Poonch.

Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr Mustaq Jafri told GNS that despite risk, the delivery was conducted successfully. The family members of the woman thanked the doctors and allied staff at the hospital.
