People are now facing the heat of the second wave of covid-19 in a big way as the number of positive cases are only increasing, even the SMC mayor recently appealed. Lt. Governor to close shrines, Masjids and gardens across Jammu and Kashmir in order to flatten the curve of covid infection.

The government is trying its best to go for rapid testing and also for the random testing in many localities of Srinagar city to arrest the trend.

In this direction recently Khanyar locality of Srinagar was declared as a containment zone as the random testing in that locality found more than 50 people corona positive.

Apart from testing, vaccination drive is also going on as the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir who are above the age of 45 years are getting vaccinated free of cost.

Similarly very soon the government is going for a massive vaccination drive in Jammu and Kashmir and it would be again free of cost between the age group of 18-45 years.
