J&K UT LG Sinha wishes journalist fraternity on WPFD

Wishing journalist fraternity on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day (WPFD) on Monday, Union Territory (UT) Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha said media plays a strong bridge between the government and the people.

In a message which was tweeted on official Twitter profile of the office of LG, Mr Sinha said “On the occasion of ‘World Press Freedom Day’, I extend my warm wishes to the journalists fraternity. The media plays a catalytic role in a country’s development & acts as a strong bridge between the Government & People”.

“I appreciate all the journalists for determined and constructive role being played by them in the challenging time of #COVID19”, tweet further said.

Mr Sinha said, “Two Kashmiri senior journalists are making J&K proud with their arduous efforts to help people across the nation. They are the true brand ambassadors of #Kashmiriyat.”

“I commend Danish @TellDM & Aditya @AdityaRajKaul for their selfless service during the #COVID19 pandemic. I have been watching @TellDM  and @AdityaRajKaul using social media to actually help people and save lives. The UT of #JammuAndKashmir is filled with such bright and compassionate youngsters. I wish them all health and happiness,” the LG said.
