Private Hospitals have an important responsibility during Covid disaster: DC Anantnag

Asks owners for earmarking beds for covid patients, hands over Ambulance to MCCH Anantnag

ANANTNAG, MAY 04 : To further augment and prepare the medical infrastructure for treatment of Covid patients in the district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr. Piyush Singla today held a meeting with the private hospitals’ and nursing home owners of the district at DC office here.

Addressing the meeting, the DC said the private hospitals have an important role in treatment of Covid positive patients especially in emergency situations.

He impressed upon the owners to earmark 10 beds each with low/medium flow oxygen and other basic facilities in their hospitals which may be used for emergency purposes.

Dr. Singla directed the health authorities to prepare a database of the private hospitals with respect to the level of existing facilities so that the patients may be admitted as per need and available facilities.

The hospital owners expressed full support and cooperation to the administration for fighting the pandemic.

Besides hospital owners, CMO, Dy. CMO and other concerned officials attended the meeting.

Later, as an effort to boost the emergency healthcare setup of the Maternity and Child Care Hospital Anantnag, the DC handed over an ambulance to the Medical Superintendent of the hospital. DSWO and other concerned officials were present on the occasion.
