Covid hit families

Covid 19 second wave has hit badly Jammu and Kashmir and presently the number of fatalities has increased. On an average in the past few weeks 50 people are consumed by Covid 19 on daily basis.

In order to share their pain and suffering, Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha recently announced a financial package for such families. According to the government communication, any aged parents who have lost their only bread earner to the covid 19 will get a special life time pension from the government. Similarly, if some young boys and girls have lost their parents to covid 19 will get special scholarship for their studies from the government.

In this direction, Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha has instructed all the Deputy Commissioners of Jammu and Kashmir to issue death certificates to all those families who have lost their dear ones to covid 19. This process will help the government identify the families who have been hit by the covid 19 so that they could be help financially in a proper manner.

Government has also instructed the Deputy Commissioners in every district to help NGOs and old age homes will financial assistance and dry ration in this pandemic especially during the corono curfew. Common people have been asking for a comprehensive financial package to be announced by the government as most of the families in Kashmir Valley have been hit by the economic depression in this second wave of pandemic. Tourism industry has taken a hit and all the arrival have dried up to Kashmir, rendering thousands of families without any finances for their families.
