The Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department in collaboration with the health department started the vaccination drive for the hospitality sector at TRC Srinagar, Pahalgam and Gulmarg in the age group of 18-45.

As tourism has taken a hit due to the second wave of covid-19 and when many travellers and tourists tested positive to covid-19 infection, many local boys and girls in the hospitality sector suffered from this infection.

As the government is going to take the final call for easing of the lockdown after May 31, the tourism sector is expecting some tourists and travellers back to Kashmir.

So they want to vaccinate all of them in case tourism picks up again in Kashmir valley.

Giving details about the vaccination conducted today by the tourism department, GNS news agency in its report said, “Tourism department today started a special vaccination drive for the people associated with travel and hospitality sector in the age group of 18-45 years at TRC Srinagar, Pahalgam, Gulmarg.”
