Kathua administration starts online yoga sessions to help people fight Covid infection

KATHUA, MAY 30: To acquaint people with healthy yoga routines during their isolation period in ongoing Corona Curfew times, the district administration Kathua in collaboration with ISM (AYUSH) today started Online Yoga Sessions in the wee hours.

The Online Yoga session will be a regular feature on Facebook page of ISM AYUSH Kathua as well as district administration Kathua. The Yoga session can also be joined through Zoom app with meeting ID 86140432004 and passcode yoga123, everyday at 7:30am.

The inaugural Yoga session held today where team of ISM Doctors conducted Yoga Protocol with special focus on preventive and post Covid care of Covid positive patients.

The Yoga demonstrators Dr Bodh Paul, Dr Nittan Sharma, Dr Rekha Sharma are guiding the masses through online mode to perform Yoga Asans and Pranayam techniques.

The inaugural event was held under the supervision of District IEC Coordinator Dr Rajesh Basotra, while technical support was provided by Dr Sonam Verma.

 ADMO Kathua, Dr Ajay Kumar Tikoo, while speaking on the occasion urged the people of the district   to participate in the live Yoga session. He said the world has acknowledged the regime of “Yoga” which was conceptualized by ancient saints of India, a proven boon for stress alleviation for Covid-19 patients in home isolation.

Pertinently, ISM department has  already launched “AYUSAMVAAD” initiative under which delivering of lectures on preventive, promotive and palliative aspects of Covid-19 is conducted besides AYUSH immune boosting medicines are being given to the people during the current pandemic.
