For this purpose LG Manoj Sinha recently instructed his administration to release immediately rupees 1 lac to each panchayat so that they can create five bedded covid care centres at their level.

He has also asked the health department that in each panchayat covid care centre at least one bed should be oxygen supported so that any covid positive patients in the villages can get the required oxygen support before he is referred to any city hospitals.

Apart from these directions, LG Manoj Sinha has personally visited Jammu hospitals and many districts of Jammu region in the recent past to get an on spot assessment about the covid containment measures undertaken by his bureaucracy.

In this direction while visiting many government health facilities in Jammu region, he said that his administration should work with more vigour and vitality so that at village level any patient being covid positive gets the required testing and treatment facility.

He appealed to Doctors, Paramedical staff’s undaunted spirit, driven by compassion to go beyond the call of duty, changing lives, setting an example for humanity.

People will always remember how our healthcare workers made them feel in the crisis & how they worked selflessly to save lives. Manoj Sinha was quoted by an official spokesman saying so while being on spot assessment tour in Jammu region.
