All party meeting between the leaders of Jammu and Kashmir and the central government is a good beginning for the electoral process to start here.
The meeting between political leaders of J&K and the Prime Minister ended after three and half hours, the majority of the political leaders from the region called for the restoration of statehood apart from conveying their pain over the removal of Article 370, many of them demanded its restoration.
Mehbooba Mufti the former ally of BJP and chief minister of erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir told media outside after the meeting that she has conveyed the pain and humiliation of people of Jammu and Kashmir over the abrogation of article 370.
She hailed the recent efforts of the central government for the talks with Pakistan and said that they should also resume trade with them as the neighbors cannot be changed.
She said that the leadership of Jammu and Kashmir believe in peaceful struggle under the constitution for the restoration of article 370 while advocating for further talks between the centre and the leadership of Jammu and Kashmir.
Fourteen prominent political parties and leaders from Jammu and Kashmir were invited by the Prime Minister for the first outreach post abrogation of article 370 to New Delhi for talks and this session remained for hours, giving a new hope to the leadership of Jammu and Kashmir that they will soon be in the assembly.
