In order to give boost and encouragement to the students to go for engineering management and other graduation courses, recently LG Manoj Sinha rolled out Sustainable Development Fellowship (LGSDF)” for Engineering, Management & other Graduates of J&K

This Programme is to provide an institutional platform for research related to enhancing delivery of Government welfare schemes for the graduates from Premier Institutes who wish to pursue a career in the development sector.

According to the government of Jammu and Kashmir the Aim of the scheme is to provide catalytic support to improve government service delivery, remove gaps in policy implementation & generating valuable insights for policymakers & implementing agencies.

Every year 10 scholars/graduates from IIT Jammu, IIM Jammu, NIT Srinagar, and other National Institutes would be selected for this purpose so that there is improvement on the ground in the government delivery system and also it will help to streamline the implementation and policy making on the ground so that maximum benefits of government schemes go to the deserving people.

According to this scheme rolled out by the government of Jammu and Kashmir each selected graduate will get a fellowship of Rs. 60,000 per month along with field travel allowance and other incidentals.
