Militant’s body recovered from river in Rajouri

Body of a militant has been recovered from a river in Daddal village of Rajouri’s Sunderbani after which it has been taken into possession by security forces.

Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that a body of a militant was seen floating over Daddal rivulet by locals who informed police after which police and army rushed to the spot and body was fished out.

” Locals informed that body of a man is floating on river and he is wearing combat dress,” said officials, adding that body was fished out from river and was found to be of one of the militant who had got injured in encounter in Daddar forest of Sunderbani area recently and died later on.

They said that the militant was wearing combat dress similar to the one which his other two associates were wearing while bullets were also recovered from his clothes. ” Searches in the area have been resumed,” they said.

Pertinent to mention here that on ninth day of searches, encounter broke out between security forces and militants in Daddal forest area of Sunderbani in Rajouri district in which two militants got killed while two army personnel who got injured in gunfight succumbed to injuries later on—(KNO)
