LAWDA starts cleanliness drive in offices, Dal Lake, its navigation channels

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 30: As part of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the Jammu and Kashmir Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) has started the cleanliness drive from 27th of September 2021 till 3rd of October 2021.

Under this campaign, the cleanliness drives have been held in the offices of the LAWDA and also at various channels connecting Dal Lake.

For the remainder of the week, the main focus of cleaning would be on the Dal Lake, its navigation channels and its catchment area besides awareness among masses about the importance of hygiene and cleanliness.

LAWDA has sensitised the locals about the segregation of waste and cleaning of chuntikol has been done under the event of ‘Kachra Alag Karo Diwas’ and ‘Saarvajanik Shauchalya Safai jan Bhagidari Utsav’.

The Vice chairman, LAWDA shall felicitate the Safaimitras with words of appreciation and certificates to value their work.

Meanwhile, the LAWDA will also organise the events for the whole October month under the campaign ‘Clean India Safe India’ drive under which cleanliness drives will go on in and around the Dal Lake and its catchment area.
