In the recent past Jammu and Kashmir administration has established many youth clubs and the purpose of such clubs is to promote the talent of youth in every field including in education and literature.
Manoj Sinha recently while speaking at iconic Week celebrations said that youth has always remained the priority of the present dispensation. A department Mission Youth is dedicated to the youth of J&K under which several youth-oriented programmes have been initiated aiming at supporting their creative and entrepreneurial talent.
Government has initiated a tailor-made program under Mission Youth to support and mentor the young writers of the J&K. This program of Mission Youth will prove to be a great platform for the new generation and future writers.
He stressed on the need to organize such a Literary Festival every year to provide much-needed platform and exposure to the young rising talent of the UT. He presented mementos to the participating writers and poets.
During the literary festival, various sessions were held in which the renowned writers including celebrated poet and famous lyricist Irshad Kamil shared some of the famous couplets from their notable work.
The young poets and the people connected with the literature shared their experiences but such festivals should be organized periodically in Kashmir so that the talent remains in touch with such literary figures and it will keep the interest alive among such youth to move in the field of poetry and literature.
