Multi-level Car Parking Made Functional in Anantnag, Traffic Decongests, Residents Heave Sigh of Relief
Anantnag: District administration Anantnag Monday made multi-parking car parking space at Janglat Mandi operational to decongest the vital road stretches of routine traffic snarls in this south Kashmir district.
Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Dr. Piyush singla, SSP Anantnag Aashish Mishra, CEO Municipal Council Anantnag Jehangir Ahamed Khanday, President Municipal Council Anantnag Hilal Ahamed Shah, Executive Engineer R&B Qazi Javeed, AEE R&B Anantnag Khalid Manzoor and other officials from the district adminstration were present on the occasion.
The much anticipated move has paved way for decongestion of the traffic at vital road stretches including Janglat Mandi, Mehandi Kadal, Lal Chowk and Ashgipora.
A local told GNS that the roads in the district are no longer jammed today as had been otherwise an everyday affair.
“We extend our gratitude to the whole district administration for the much awaited move”, the local said.
Notably the multi-level car parking space has been made operational after a news was carried by GNS the other day over daily traffic snarls witnessed by local residents in the district. (GNS)
