LAWDA stops illegal land filling practice in Srinagar

Srinagar, Dec 16,: Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) Thursday stopped some locals from resorting to illegal land filling around a newly constructed house.

An official from LAWDA told news agency Kashmir News Trust that some people were resorting to illegal land filling at Shri Bhat Alamgari Bazar area of Srinagar city. Shortly after receiving the information that the said filling is going on without any permission, a team arrived on the spot and stopped the practice of filling.

LAWDA has warned people of consequences who resort to illegal filling of land and construction without their knowledge. (KNT)
