Air traffic resumes in Srinagar as the visibility has enhanced

At Srinagar airport, a lot of flights landed and a lot of people left Kashmir valley as on Wednesday all the flights were cancelled and it not only resulted in problems to the people who had to wait for hours at the airport but they had to rebook the tickets at very high prices.
Reacting to this attitude of different airlines, former chief minister and vice president of National Conference Omar Abdullah took to twitter and said that it is a daylight robbery by different airlines against the passengers.
He said that not only the passengers had to come back but they were told to rebook the tickets at very high prices like they had a ticket for Rs 3000 and now they had to rebook the same ticket at Rs 10000 without their any fault.
He expressed regrets that the government is not intervening in such matters as the people have to pay heavy price for the cancellation of flights on Srinagar airport.
According to PTI in its news report on Thursday about the resumption of flights on Srinagar airport it has said in its report as follows.
The air traffic to and fro Kashmir resumed on Thursday after remaining affected for about two days due to bad weather following heavy snowfall across the valley, officials said.
The flight operations resumed at the Srinagar airport here in the afternoon, the officials said.
They said the visibility at the airport improved from about 800 metres in the morning to about 1500 metres leading to the commencement of the operations.
Earlier, all flights were delayed in the morning while at least two flights were cancelled.
Kashmir valley received heavy snowfall — the first heavy fall of the season in the plains — on Wednesday. The snowfall threw life out of gear and led to disruption of flight operations.
All the flights on Wednesday were cancelled as the visibility was very poor.
