The government of Jammu and Kashmir has taken a lot of steps for the recovery of the tourist industry and in the current spring season the signs of such recoveries are visible.

Recently the Union Tourism Minister complimented JK Tourism for quick recovery, other initiatives and has said that it is because of such efforts tourist footfall has increased.

He said that other tourism-related states have a lot to learn from JK’s post covid experiences. The J&K Tourism Department is showcasing its post covid experiences in terms of recovery and revival of tourism at a national tourism conclave being held at Bhubaneswar, Odisha these days.

The conclave is themed Chalo Dekhain Apna Desh and it was inaugurated by the Union Minister for Tourism & Culture.

He laid thrust on inbound and domestic tourism and the efforts by the Government to further promote it. He complimented the J&K Tourism Department for its initiatives and efforts in post covid recovery of the sector.

He expressed satisfaction over the present state of tourism in J&K and hoped that in coming months the tourism traffic to the UT would further pick up. He enumerated several initiatives being taken by the Government to further strengthen the tourism sector.
