Farmer’s Welfare

In order to make the farmer community in Jammu and Kashmir strong, the administration has taken many steps for their welfare.

Many schemes of the government are aimed at changing their socio economic conditions.

Recently the Union MoS for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare visited Fruit Mandi Sopore and listened to the concerns of fruit growers there.

He reiterates that farmer’s welfare is among the top priority of the present dispensation at the centre.

He said food processing units will be established in PPP mode to boost the growth of the agriculture market in the J&K.

As part of the Union Governments Public Outreach Programme, Union Minister of State (MoS) for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, took part in a series of events and activities during the extensive programme.

He visited developmental projects and took stock of the development scenario of the district.

At the outset, he paid a visit to Fruit Mandi Sopore where she interacted with the Fruit Growers Association, progressive orchardists and farmers.

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Senior Superintendent of Police, Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla  ,  Joint Director Planning  besides other functionaries of concerned departments were present.
