In order to provide the common people with transparent administration, the J & K government has taken several initiatives for this purpose.

Recently citizen friendly registration has been initiated to provide more relief to the people. Inspector General of Registration, J&K has reaffirmed that several initiatives have been taken or are in the pipeline for a more transparent and citizen-friendly registration.

He was speaking during training and interactive sessions for its staff in collaboration with Software Development Unit (SDU), NIC Pune.

The training and interactive sessions were organized as part of the capacity building program for digital transformation in the Registration Department.

IGR specifically stressed upon the participants to make use of this opportunity to clear all their doubts and misconceptions for a hassle-free, easy and efficient registration process.

The participants were impressed upon to adhere to the checklist of documents prescribed for various Articles/instruments and the circular instructions on registration on the date of appointment. They were further advised to encourage and facilitate citizens in document registration and not to create impediments or return their documents on flimsy grounds, which has the tendency to prolong the registration process and cause avoidable hardships to citizens.

The programs were conducted at Convention Centre Jammu, DC office Srinagar, Sub Registrar Offices of District Baramulla and Srinagar and were attended by IGR, J&K, AIGRK/J, District Registrars and Sub Registrars both in person and virtually besides the registration staff.
