SRINAGAR: Mumbai were bowled out for just 120 runs by Jammu and Kashmir in their Ranji Trophy Group A match at the Sharad Pawar Academy in BKC, Mumbai, on Thursday.

Rohit Sharma briefly stayed at the crease, scoring only three runs off 19 balls before being dismissed by Umar Nazir Mir.

The rest of Mumbai’s batting line-up struggled, leading to a swift collapse. Yashasvi Jaiswal was also dismissed early, scoring just five runs.

Mumbai opted to bat first but faltered against Jammu and Kashmir’s disciplined bowling attack.

Seamer Umar Nazir Mir bowled a tight spell, dismissing Rohit on the 13th ball he faced after delivering 12 dot balls.

Ajinkya Rahane, Hardik Tamore, Shivam Dube, and Shams Mulani were dismissed in quick succession, leaving Mumbai’s top order reeling at 41/5.

Shreyas Iyer contributed 11 runs, but the wickets kept tumbling. Tanush Kotian and Mohit Avasthi failed to make an impact, while only Shardul Thakur offered resistance, scoring 51 runs. Mumbai’s innings ended at 120 runs in 33.2 overs.

Umar Nazir Mir finished with figures of 2/43, while Yudhvir Singh took 3/31. Auqib Nabi and A. Mushtaq also chipped in with wickets.
